Since 2010, we’ve planted thousands of trees at schools, orphanages, universities, and other community-based locations. With over 3,000 trees in the ground (some of which are almost 15 years old!) we’re busy each year not only planting more trees but also taking care of, monitoring, and pruning our existing trees in the community.

DMI’s community musical performances include outreach concerts, musical tree plantings, student performances, and open mic nights, reaching an average of 1,800 community members each year.

DMI student enrollment by year
Ranging from clarinet to strings to general music, we’ve provided music education to hundreds of students in the Kilimanjaro region since 2010. We aim to reach as many students as possible - our yearly enrolment is directly tied to the number of teachers and instruments we have available each year.
